Data Deletion Request

At Orbit Metrics, we respect your right to control your personal data. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. This page explains what data we store, how to request deletion, and what to expect during the process.

What Data We Store

When you use Orbit Scorecard, we store the following data associated with your account:

Account Information

Email address, display name, profile picture URL (if applicable), and account identifier collected during sign-up or sign-in.

Business Data

Metrics and transactional data synced from connected third-party platforms (e.g., Shopify, HubSpot, Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Ads), stored in isolated Google BigQuery datasets.

Scorecards & Configurations

Scorecard definitions, KPI metrics, SQL queries, and scheduling configurations you have created.

Conversation History

Chat messages, AI-generated SQL queries, and query results from your interactions with the AI assistant.

Integration Connections

Connection metadata and tokens for linked third-party platforms, managed through our integration provider (Nango).

How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data through any of the following methods:

Option 1: In-App Request

If you are signed in, go to Settings → Delete My Data and click "Request Data Deletion." You will be asked to confirm before the request is submitted.

Option 2: Email Request

Send an email to hello@orbitmetrics.io with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will verify your identity before processing the request.

What Happens After You Request Deletion

Processing Timeline

Your deletion request will be processed within 30 days. During this period, you may continue to use the service. Once processing begins, the deletion is irreversible.

Upon completion, we will delete:

  • Your account profile, preferences, and authentication credentials
  • All business data in your isolated BigQuery dataset
  • All scorecard definitions and metric configurations
  • All chat history and AI-generated content
  • All third-party integration connections and synced data
  • Any other personal data associated with your account

Note: Certain data may be retained for up to 7 years where required by law for compliance and audit purposes (e.g., audit logs). This retained data will be minimal and will not include your business data or personal content.

Third-Party Data

When we delete your data, we also revoke all third-party integration connections. However, data that exists on third-party platforms (such as Shopify, HubSpot, Google Ads, or Meta/Facebook) is not affected by our deletion process. To delete data held by those services, please contact them directly through their respective privacy settings or support channels.
